The Client

The Pumping Marvellous Foundation is the UK’s patient led heart failure charity. It was founded by a heart failure patient whose experiences whilst rehabilitating have shaped the Foundation’s goals and principles of a patient-centric charity focused on improved patient outcomes.

The beneficiaries are all people who suffer from heart failure together with their family and friends. The Pumping Marvellous Foundation’s goal is to deliver HOPE to its beneficiaries through the facilitation of better outcomes by cross-working and advocating the beneficiaries at a local, regional, national and international level; working hand in hand with commissioners and clinicians to deliver better pathways and be the patient voice of progression. Their services include patient driven solutions, created by patients guided but not policed by the Foundation available in printed and online format. The Pumping Marvellous Foundation is funded through donations and fundraising by individuals, support from the NHS and charitable organisations together with corporate sponsorship.


Creating an informative, clear, concise, unambiguous website whilst maintaining the fun, colourful brand already created by our design team was the key here. We worked very closely with Pumping Marvellous to create a website that they can be proud of. As with all of our websites, full content management facilities were installed into the background to ensure that the website could be updated and maintained by the client moving forward. Technical support is always on hand and our team of dedicated web designers offer support in the form of supplying content and social media for the website each month. All of the client’s brochures have been updated to the website in downloadable format enabling their members to be able to download accurate and up to date information at any time.


Working closely with Pumping Marvellous we have created a series of “toolkits” designed to help patients suffering from heart failure manage their conditions. All of the designs are consistent yet easily distinguishable to locate the correct booklet. Offering a complete design to print service we advised on layouts, design style and branding and followed this up by providing expert insight into cost effective print methods and materials whilst maintaining the impact required. Once all the designs were created and printed we uploaded these to the website to allow members to download pdf versions.

The Events

Pumping Marvellous attend many events to promote the great work the charity is doing. Having high standards for quality, it’s important that the exhibition equipment, promotional giveaways and printed literature match the work the charity does. As everything is produced in-house Media Village provide a design to installation service that takes away stress often associated with attending exhibitions.


Collecting data is a big part of the charity. With this information they can understand how to best serve the members and also understand what they want and expect. Offering both printed and electronic versions of the data capture forms Media Village have been integral in ensuring the data capture is confidential yet serves the purpose required by the charity.
