Have Questions?

Your Podcast Recording Questions Answered

Do I need any podcasting experience to book a session?

Not at all. Whether you’re recording your very first episode or producing an established podcast series, we’ll guide you through the session and help you feel comfortable in front of the microphone. Our team manages the technical side, allowing you to focus on the conversation.

Can I bring guests to the studio?

Yes. We regularly record podcasts featuring multiple presenters and guests. If someone can’t attend in person, we can also incorporate remote contributors into the session while maintaining clear, professional audio throughout the conversation.

How many people can record a podcast together?

The ideal setup depends on your podcast format and whether you’re recording audio, video, or a combination of both. We can accommodate interviews, roundtable discussions, and multi-person conversations, as well as guests joining remotely. If you already know how many contributors you’ll have, we’ll recommend the most suitable recording setup before your session.

What kind of equipment do you use?

We use professional podcast recording equipment, including broadcast-quality microphones, dedicated audio recording hardware and an acoustically suitable recording environment to capture clean, consistent sound. Every session is monitored throughout to ensure the highest possible recording quality.

Will someone help me during the recording?

Yes. A member of our team will manage the recording throughout the session, monitoring audio levels, assisting with retakes if needed and helping everything run smoothly. Our goal is to create a relaxed environment so you can concentrate on the conversation rather than the technology.

How long does a typical session take?

The length of a recording session depends on your podcast format, number of contributors and whether you’re recording one episode or several. Many sessions last between one and two hours, although businesses often choose longer sessions to batch multiple episodes in a single visit.

Can I record multiple episodes in one session?

Absolutely. Recording multiple episodes during a single session is an efficient way to build a content library while maintaining consistency across your series. We’ll help plan the schedule so each episode has enough time without the session feeling rushed.

Do you offer remote recording support?

Yes. Whether you’re hosting remotely or inviting contributors from different locations, we can help capture high-quality audio without everyone needing to be in the same room. Remote, studio and hybrid recording setups can all be tailored to suit your project.

Can you record a podcast at our office or event?

Yes. While many clients choose to record in our studio, we can also provide on-site podcast recording at your office, workplace, conference, exhibition or event. We’ll assess the location beforehand to ensure the environment is suitable for high-quality audio and bring the equipment needed for a professional recording.

Can you record a video podcast as well as audio?

Absolutely. Many podcasts now combine professional audio with multi-camera video, allowing you to publish full episodes on YouTube as well as create shorter clips for LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok and other social platforms. We can plan your recording session to produce both audio and video content at the same time.

What happens after recording?

Once recording is complete, we securely prepare your audio files for the next stage. If you’ve booked editing and mixing, we’ll refine the recording, remove mistakes where appropriate, balance audio levels and prepare your finished episodes ready for review, publishing or wider podcast production.

Do you provide podcast editing and mixing?

Yes. Podcast recording can be booked on its own or combined with our editing and mixing service. We can remove mistakes, reduce unwanted noise, balance audio levels, add introductions, outros, music and branding, then prepare your finished episodes ready for publishing.

Can I make changes after recording?

Yes. We understand that revisions are sometimes needed after recording. Whether you’d like sections removed, additional edits made or alternative versions created for different platforms, we’ll work with you to ensure you’re happy with the final result.

Do you work with businesses across the UK?

Yes. Although our recording studio is based in Lancashire, we work with businesses and organisations throughout the UK. Depending on your requirements, we can record in our studio, provide remote recording support, or travel to your location for on-site podcast production.

Who It’s For

Podcast Recording for Businesses, Organisations and Content Teams

Business Leaders and Subject Experts

Podcasts give experienced people more room to share useful insight than short-form marketing content allows. We help business leaders, founders and specialists record clear, well-structured conversations that demonstrate expertise without sounding rehearsed or overly promotional.

Marketing and Communications Teams

Internal marketing teams often have the ideas and contributors but need technical support to turn them into a reliable podcast series. We manage the recording environment, equipment and session delivery, helping teams create consistent episodes for campaigns, thought leadership and wider brand communications.

Corporate and Employer Brand Podcasts

Companies can use podcasts to share leadership perspectives, employee stories, sector commentary and conversations about workplace culture. Recording can take place in our studio or on site, depending on the contributors and the atmosphere the series needs to create.

Charities, Public Bodies and Membership Organisations

Podcasts allow organisations to explore important subjects with more context and humanity than a short announcement or written update. We support charities, public bodies and membership groups with interviews, panel discussions, campaign series and stakeholder conversations.

Schools, Colleges and Training Providers

Education providers can use podcasts to share student experiences, interview staff, explain initiatives and create learning resources. Sessions can be planned around one-off projects or a repeatable series for students, parents, employees or external audiences.

Agencies and In-House Content Teams

Creative agencies and content teams can book Media Village for the recording and technical delivery of podcasts they have already planned. We can work as the production partner behind the scenes or support the project through editing, branding, video and promotional outputs where required.

New and Established Podcast Hosts

You do not need previous broadcasting experience to record with us. We support first-time hosts who need guidance as well as established podcasters looking for a more controlled environment, consistent sound and reliable production support.

Organisations Across Lancashire and the UK

Our recording studio is based in Lancashire, making it accessible for clients across Preston, Blackburn, Burnley, Manchester and the wider North West. We also support UK-wide projects through remote, hybrid and on-site recording arrangements.

More About Our Podcast Recording Services

Professional podcast recording depends on more than the microphones being used. The format, contributors, location, technical setup and plans for editing or promotion all influence how the session should be prepared. We organise each recording around the people involved and the content being created, helping businesses produce clear, consistent podcast episodes without unnecessary technical pressure.

What’s Included in Our Podcast Recording Services

Our podcast recording service is built around making the session straightforward for hosts and guests while capturing consistent, professional-quality sound.

Before recording begins, we confirm the format, number of contributors, expected episode length and whether anyone will be joining remotely. Our team then prepares the equipment, manages the session and supplies the recordings in the format agreed for the project.

Stage What Our Team Handles
Session Planning Confirming the episode format, contributors, timings and technical requirements
Studio Preparation Setting up microphones, recording equipment and the room before guests arrive
Sound Checks Testing voices, microphone levels and remote connections before recording starts
Live Recording Support Monitoring audio, managing levels and helping with retakes during the session
Remote Guest Recording Connecting and recording contributors who cannot attend the studio in person
File Management Organising and securely transferring the recorded audio after the session
Editing and Mixing Removing mistakes, balancing voices and preparing polished episodes where editing is included
Final Delivery Supplying approved audio files ready for review, publishing or wider production

Clients can book recording as a standalone service or combine it with our podcast editing and mixing, content development and distribution support for a more complete production process.

Studio, Remote and On-Site Podcast Recording Options

Not every podcast needs to be recorded in the same way. Some conversations benefit from a controlled studio environment, while others need remote contributors or recording at a client’s workplace, event or chosen location.

Recording Option Best Used For
Studio Recording Consistent audio quality, face-to-face interviews and repeatable recording sessions
Remote Recording Guests joining from different locations without travelling to the studio
Hybrid Recording Combining in-studio presenters with one or more remote contributors
On-Site Recording Capturing conversations at workplaces, venues, conferences or live events
Batch Recording Recording several episodes during one planned production session

We recommend the setup based on the people involved, the environment and how the finished podcast will be used. Where recording needs to happen away from our Lancashire studio, our team can provide a mobile setup and manage the technical side on location.

Recording Audio and Video Podcasts in One Session

Many organisations now want more from each podcast recording than a single audio episode.

A video-first or combined audio-and-video setup allows the main conversation to be recorded once and adapted into full video episodes, short clips and promotional content for different platforms. Planning this before the session helps ensure the room, cameras, microphones and contributor positions all work together.

Output How It Can Be Used
Full Audio Episode Spotify, Apple Podcasts and other listening platforms
Full Video Episode YouTube, websites and video podcast platforms
Short Video Clips LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok and campaign promotion
Audiograms Highlighting short quotes through branded social content
Photography Stills Episode graphics, thumbnails and wider promotional use

Where video is required, the recording can be planned alongside our video podcasting service and podcast promotional content, helping each session produce a broader set of useful assets.

How to Prepare for a Podcast Recording Session

Good preparation makes the recording more natural and reduces the amount of editing required later.

You do not need to memorise a script, but everyone involved should understand the topic, episode structure and intended audience before the microphones go live.

We normally recommend preparing:

  • A clear episode objective – what should listeners understand, remember or do after listening?
  • A simple running order – introduction, key discussion points and closing remarks
  • Guest details – names, roles, pronunciations and relevant background information
  • Prompt questions – enough to guide the conversation without making it feel over-scripted
  • Calls to action – any website, event, service or next step that should be mentioned
  • Technical checks – particularly for contributors joining remotely

Our team can help refine the format before the session. Where a series needs more detailed planning, our podcast content development service can support episode themes, contributor planning and structure across the wider programme.
